What is your stand?

Rosemary and I are coaching with Red Elephant, Inc. We  joined them in their program, Flight Club, last year after attending for the second time, Stand, Speak and Profit, their signature three-day event. Afrin and Iman Khan are the force behind Red Elephant. And their signature event is a content rich experience where you are challenge to find your true purpose in life – to take a stand; develop an approach to let people know about your stand, your “big why” – to speak about it; and then develop a strategy around your stand and talk as a component of your business – to make a profit through speaking at events.

So, after working through the Red Elephant formula at three Stand, Speak and Profit events and more than a year of coaching with Afrin, Iman and their team, it is past time for me to articulate my stand (an ongoing and evolving pursuit!). I have developed my stand in the form of a poem:

What is your stand?

What is your stand?
You say your purpose is love.
Where is the action in that?

Health? Study the body.
Follow the energy pathways.
Practice the forms for flow.

Longevity? To what end?
Model the Way, be the Light.
Lead others to their Light.

Happiness? Is this a right?
Pursue it inside, in breath.
Breath is a right. Pursue Light.

Peace? The cessation of war?
No. Peace is not out there.
It is only here, present now.

Love. This is the answer.
The value that matters: practice Love.
It is the Way, the Truth, the Light.

What is your stand? I’d like to hear it!
