Happy Full Moon in Capricorn!
Today’s Hubble picture is a recent one of the Pillars of Creation. Stars are being born deep inside the pillars, a small part of the Eagle Nebula, a vast star-forming region 6,500 light-years from Earth.
Rhythms
Full moon rising,
Climbing as a goat
Up the mountain of the sky
Riding high, beaming Sunrays
Back to Earth, light for the Dark Way.
Half-year passing,
Fading as a flower.
Ripening fruit-time in full force
Nourishing Earth energy pushing
Life to feed the seed to feed life.
Old man rejoicing,
Vigorous as a stoat,
Living the dream, dreaming life
Back into fading years
Shedding no tears, full force rising!

This Full Moon at 09 degrees Capricorn, opposite the Sun at 09 degrees Cancer, invites us to look at what we expressed as our desires at the last New Moon (June 16) and release any remaining blocks to manifesting those desires. The Full Moon happened at 10:22 pm Eastern Daylight Time on Wednesday, July 1, and ushered in the time to determine what to let go of as we get down to work for the next two weeks.
How are you taking care of yourself? (Cancer) What are your tasks, your REAL work, your objectives? (Capricorn) Do your assessment as you also pay attention to the fact that everyone around you will be experiencing the effects of this Full Moon, knowing about it or ignorant of it. Drive defensively!
The Sun is dancing with several other planets in the period between this Full Moon and the next New Moon on July 15, making early July a good time to look for the areas where big change is needed in your life. Are you ready?

A FULL MOON POEM: Rhythms
Here on the East Coast there is a full moon in Capricorn tonight at 10:22. As some of you dear readers know, Rosemary and I celebrate the cycles of the moon, paying special attention to this nearest “heavenly body” as she moves through her phases affecting the planet and all of life in so many ways. We’ll be publishing the MoonLetter later today (subscribe here) but in the meantime, to lead up to this “big moon” I want to share my poem for the day (and her):
Rhythms
Full moon rising,
Climbing as a goat
Up the mountain of the sky

ROSEMARY’S EXPLORATION: Truth is Light
The truth inside you is revealed by your finding your Inner Light and shining that out into the world.
Do you think that you know the ‘Truth’ with a capital ‘T’? So often, we seek truth, we think we find truth, we think our truth is better than their truth. But, really, what is this truth that we seek, find, compare?
Did you used to believe in Santa Claus? The Tooth Fairy? The Easter Bunny? What is the truth around these characters?
Maybe you believed in the Boogeyman or the Monster Under the Bed? What is the truth about these characters?
Your belief made these very real to you. I suspect, however, that you have changed your truth around Santa Claus and the Boogeyman. What makes you feel that other stories you once believed, or believe today, cannot also change as you mature, evolve and grow?
The truth of who you are is the Inner Light that is the spark of the Divine, your connection to Source Energy, the Universe Within, your Spirit. Whatever you call your essence it is your truth.
What you believe can change from day to day, from moment to moment, but who you are – who you REALLY are, at your core – that does not change.
When you believe that you are a light being, placed on this Earth with a purpose to fulfill, a reason for being here, in this very place at this very moment surrounded by the very people who surround you, then you can be who you really are.
Your circumstances do not define who you are. Who you love and who doesn’t love you have nothing to do with the Light Within you. What you do does not say who you are. Your success or failure does not speak to who you are.
You are Light. Your truth comes from the cosmic light that was formed at the beginning of the Universe. Anything that is trying to dim you, to dim your light, is not truth.
Just as Santa Claus is a belief, so is most of what you believe about yourself ‘just a belief.’
I hear from clients language that tells me their belief has crept into their definition of ‘truth.’ ‘I’m not smart enough.’ ‘I can’t afford that.’ ‘I’m too fat to _____.’ ‘When I get that job I’ll be happy.’ ‘I’m too old to _____.’
I also hear things like ‘Life is hard.’ ‘Suffering is just a part of life.’ ‘I don’t have anyone who will help me.’
The list goes on. And I would bet that you could add to this list from your own experience.
Yet, these beliefs are not Truth with a capital T. They are beliefs. Beliefs can change.
“I’m the only one who can take care of that’ can change to ‘I’ll ask my brother to handle that issue for Mom.’ ‘I don’t have enough money to get the help I need’ can change to ‘I trust that money will come to me as I need it when I get my priorities straight.’
This list goes on, too.
Your truth can change as you mature, evolve and grow. Let it shift. Look for the Light. Truth has a Light Quality about it that helps you to believe.
The Truth is that you are your Inner Light. Now be who you REALLY are!

NEW MOON NEWS FROM ROSEMARY
Greetings; and Happy New Moon in Gemini!
“Be still and look inside for the answers. Trust that you have an Inner Wisdom that speaks your truth to you.”
Make things happen now, while the Moon is growing in the night sky from dark to Full. Think new thoughts. Believe new ideas. Find new ways to listen, to communicate.
Use the Gemini energy to improve communications. Mercury is now moving in a direct pattern – we survived another dreaded retrograde period! Woo Hoo! Focus on the listening side of communicating while you observe yourself – are you getting the response you want or are your communications creating something different? Take responsibility for communicating authentically while allowing others to be valued and appreciated for their authentic selves.
The Summer Solstice is coming up on June 21 – the longest day of the year for us in the northern hemisphere. The most Light of the year! What new Light can you shine into the world this week?
Someone recently asked how to convince someone else that it is important to pay attention to the Moon. What do you think? Does it matter? My answer is that we are mostly water and the Moon visibly affects the waters of the Chesapeake Bay so why shouldn’t we be affected by the same energy that brings in a super high tide?
I’ve also talked to folks who work in Emergency Rooms and they KNOW, with great certainty, that the Moon affects people because they can track it in the emergencies that they see.
Knowledge is Power. To live a Conscious Life means to be conscious of what is going on around you. Noticing the Moon and her cycles is a part of that knowledge.
PS: The Hubble image is of NGC 6503, a Spiral Galaxy “Lost in Space.” From the Hubble Site: “…this galaxy, known as NGC 6503, has found itself in a lonely position, at the edge of a strangely empty patch of space called the Local Void. The Local Void is a huge stretch of space that is at least 150 million light-years across.”
FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS/FULL MOON POEM
We experienced a full moon this past Tuesday, just after noon Eastern Time. We are still in that energy (three days before and three days after). Here are Rosemary’s thoughts and feelings about this particular Moon Energy:
“The time is here to drop stress and reach for enlightenment. Bring more light into your life. Focus not on the darkness that might be around you. Instead, BE the brightest light in your own environment.”
This Full Moon finds us getting ready for the official arrival of Summer. Here in the Northern Hemisphere things are heating up. The days are longer and longer.
It’s an exciting time of graduations, school endings, weddings and Summer celebrations. People want to be out in the sunshine.
And with this Full Moon (Tuesday, June 2 at 12:18 pm Eastern Daylight Time) the Moon is reflecting the most sunlight that it reflects in its cycle. The Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius, where straight-shooting truth is the order of the day. The Sun is in the sign of Gemini which is all about communication and the sharing of information.
Where can you shine the light on some truth that may have been hiding in the shadows? Are you ready to reveal something about yourself and how you feel? This Full Moon invites you to release what is no longer serving your highest good. Release, too, the ‘stuff’ that has been clogging up flow in your life – clutter, things, houses, jobs, people. Move aside what is holding you back and leap forward.

There’s no more to say, nothing to do;
Just open, exhale, flow with the ride.
And with each breath, deepen, release.
Empty to wonder, sense the ease.

Float on the wave to Full Moon’s Peace.

ROSEMARY’S EXPLORATION: Here’s the thing…
Everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have at any given moment.
This is my mantra. I remind myself of this often.
At first it was a bit difficult to embrace. I kept coming up with caveats, exclusions, reasons why this didn’t apply to someone or some situation. It never occurred to me that this also applied to ME – I was focused on forgiving others.
But the more I worked with this concept, the more I embraced it as a way to live, well, the more I came to believe that this is true for EVERYONE, including ME.
So what does it mean to totally and whole-heartedly embrace this idea? What resistance is showing up in you as I invite you to consider this?
Can you, as I did, come up with a list of exclusions to this, people that this couldn’t possibly apply to? Mass murderers? Abusers? That person who cut you off in traffic today or stole your parking place? Your parent? Your spouse? Your neighbor?
Think about this: do you think that any soul comes into this lifetime wanting to hurt other people as its purpose? What spirit wants to be the ‘bad guy’?
People look around at their options and choose one to act upon. You do this, too. Sometimes people are influenced by others to the point that their view is narrowed to only one option. You, from the outside, might see that they had lots of other choices. But, inside their situation, with the information that they had or the influence that they experienced, they did what they thought they must.
Look back over the decisions that you have made in your life. Do you tend to count up all the ‘mistakes’ you have made? Do you think of the ‘wrong decisions’ you have chosen?
What if I now say that, if you were to go back to that point in your timeline, you would make the same choice that you made then because of the information (resources) that you had available in that moment? If you went back knowing what you know now, you would be taking some extra resources with you, wouldn’t you? The knowledge that came from the feedback you received after that decision. BUT you didn’t have that information when you were making the choice you made.
Everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have at any given moment.
Imagine how you might feel if you look at your ex-spouse, your boss, your friend, the person who cut you off in traffic through the lens of this mantra. There is probably a story behind each situation that you don’t know and that story defines the resources that that other person had available to them at the time.
Now look at yourself and your life. Your story defined the possibilities for action that you were able to see at any given moment. It might never have occurred to you that you had more options because you believed that if you chose to do X, then Y would happen. Immediately after you made the choice, you might have received more information but you didn’t have it before you made the choice. Can you forgive yourself now?
Here’s the thing.
You are always at choice. So is everyone else. And you can only choose among the options that you see before you, based on the information that you have, or think your have, in your reality at the time you make the choice.
Everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have at any given moment, including you.
Learn and grow and keep making choices. Also, keep looking for possibilities that maybe you can’t see yet but someone else can help you to see. Increase your resources and you increase your choices.
You are, and always have been, doing the best you could.

Memorial Day, memories, honoring the ancestors. Rosemary’s inspiration is her mantra for life! This is the most important thing to remember! And it applies to ourselves, everyone around us and yes, all those ancestors too!

Happy New Moon in Taurus! Celebrate with Haiku
For this New Moon I’ve written three Haiku. The bull does like his beauty, both light and dark!
Moon Death
Mourn the losses deep;
Moon death carries them down.
But wait; look west. Birth!
Moon Drift
Celebrate the gain.
Moon drift carries her beyond.
Light breaks to the west!
Moon Dark
Rest through the night deep;
No struggle, no pain – Moon dark.
Light returns – renewed!

And here, from Rosemary, is all the New Moon information for the next couple of weeks, as we move into this waxing moon phase:
“When the Moon is dark it is inviting you to shine your light into the world. Be the beacon of light that is needed to show the way. The light is within you.”
Are you ready to claim who you really are? To claim how you really feel? This is a great time to shed the shells! Be YOU, fully YOU, just the way you are, which is PERFECT!
And if there is anything that you are looking to bring into your life, send out your request now, during the energy of the New Moon. Stay in gratitude even when you don’t control the timetable. Let your gratitude grow while the Moon grows from dark to Full in the sky.
This is also the start of a 3-week period where Planet Mercury goes retrograde – it appears to travel backward in the sky. Mercury represents communications so be careful. Check those emails and tweets before you send them. Read and re-read contracts or, better yet, wait until after June 11 to sign them. Others will be distracted, too, so pay close attention to your driving and drive defensively.
This, too, shall pass. Creative people often find Mercury Retrograde periods to be inspiring so take some time to go inside and explore.
I am so excited about the difference that essential oils are making in our lives! I recently twisted my knee and went right to the oils for relief. Swelling was minimal and I attribute that to swift and frequent application of the oils. We’re still filling the diffuser with a combination that makes dealing with allergies a thing of the past, even though the pollen is so heavy that we’re getting the car washed all the time. APRIL 23, 2015: NASA and ESA are celebrating the Hubble Space Telescope’s silver anniversary of 25 years in space by unveiling some of nature’s own fireworks — a giant cluster of about 3,000 stars called Westerlund 2. The cluster resides inside a vibrant stellar breeding ground known as Gum 29, located 20,000 light-years away in the constellation Carina. The comparatively young, 2-million-year-old star cluster contains some of our galaxy’s hottest, brightest, and most massive stars. The largest stars are unleashing a torrent of ultraviolet light and hurricane-force winds that etch away the enveloping hydrogen gas cloud. This creates a fantasy celestial landscape of pillars, ridges, and valleys.
