MONDAY’S POEM: Transparency

August 11, 2014 Leave a comment

I have several ways I reach inside myself to gain insight (inner sight) into energies around me, intuitive knowing within me. One way is to use cards of various kinds: everything from a number of Tarot decks, to spirit and goddess cards by several authors and artists. I recently picked up a new set of cards that has been in our collection for some time but had remained untouched – The Mayan Oracle deck by Ariel Spilsbury and Michael Bryner. There is deep wisdom in these cards and the writing describing them. I am enjoying the study and the guidance they are bringing to me. I particularly like the subtitle: Return Path to the Stars!

Yesterday I drew a “lens” card, Transparency. I am challenged by it to become more open, clear-minded – like a canvas on which to paint a new self! Today’s poem came from considering this challenge!

Transparency

An open book, a sheet of white paper
Waiting for words, reaching for wisdom.

A gateless gate, the clear sky beyond
Flowing to then, leading to lessons.

A faceless face, the makeup in jars
Tempting the soul, offering a mask.

Five empty lines, a staff with no strokes
Begging for notes, listening for music.

It all begins somewhere, nowhere, now
In the emptiness and purity of light.

This is transparency!

CRYSTALS AND YOU – Richard’s Commentary

July 31, 2014 Leave a comment

As I write this we are in Florida visiting friends on our way to a conference in Orlando. The items we brought, combining housewarming (our friends moved here recently) and host gifts, are crystals. In fact our son, who has been collecting crystals since he was two, sent a special quartz crystal he had found in Raleigh, NC, to our “adopted grandson”, aged 6, as a special connection. We are all tapping into the “wisdom of the worlds.”

Here is the paragraph from Rosemary’s channeled message from The Divine Feminine that I most resonate with:

Not all people alive at this time are ready to hear the Wisdom of the Worlds as transmitted by these crystals, and, so, they will deny the value or, indeed, even the idea of crystals as messengers. They will dismiss crystals as ‘new age fads’ or ‘just fancy rocks.’ When you hear this from a person, or if you feel this yourself, know that this attitude comes from a fear of the challenge of personal growth. If you are connecting to these words then, Dear One, you are ready for personal growth through a personal relationship with the Crystal Kingdom.

Many people are awakening to this special and “personal relationship.” We have another friend in the Annapolis area who hosts a crystal grid and sing bowls meditation once each month. These experiences are some of the most powerful meditation experiences I have had recently. And I am pleased and impressed by the number of young people who are attending. Several help with the hundreds of pounds of crystals set up each month. They are clearly ready for the “personal relationship.”

What does this mean exactly? I can’t explain it with rational thought or logical words. These are feelings. There is a vibrational experience and sensibility that works on trans-rational levels. It could be loosely compared to intoxication, but it is a trip of the mind/soul/spirit rather than a chemical trip of the body. And there is a Universe of “information” available on these trips. I am still processing my last experience with the crystals.

Do you have a crystal with which you resonate? If so you can simply sit with it. Hold it in any way that feels comfortable. Let your mind drift. Follow your breath. Then begin to gently tune in to the crystal. This is usually a very subtle process; a sensitive attunement with the energy radiating from the crystal. It is a delicate “listening” experience…listen with your entire person, especially inside. Tune out the five senses and “listen” with your heart. After a little while set the crystal aside and record what you experienced.

If you need to find a crystal to discover a “personal relationship” you can simply locate a “rock shop” in your area; you can find very inexpensive and yet powerful crystals almost anywhere these days (the Crystal Kingdom is seeking these relationships). Go into the shop in this “listening” mode described above. First sense the overall feeling of the shop. If it feels dead, low energy, or if you sense any negativity from the shopkeeper, choose another shop. But in my experience it is rare for a shop with crystals to have negative energy. To find “your” crystal simple scan the collection in the sensitive mode, listening with your heart. The crystal will call out to you!

Of course, if none of this makes any sense to you, you may not be ready for this “personal relationship.” And that’s OK too! We are all growing and developing at our individual rates. Remain in flow and patient!

For all of us, in all stages of development, the Crystal Kingdom is blessing us with their energy and messages!

The Science of Metaphysics – Richard’s Commentary

July 10, 2014 Leave a comment

Here’s the key thought in Rosemary’s post last Friday which I reposted here yesterday:

“The Universe is revealing itself to scientists in such a way that they can now believe what metaphysicians have known through their revelatory methods.”

And here she was quoting the Pleiedians. There is a lot of information in this compact sentence.

First “the Universe is revealing itself.” In a sense this is referring to consciousness itself. There are those, Robert Lanza, author of Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness are the Keys to Understanding the True Nature of the Universe, for example, who would support the argument made here; that consciousness expands in parallel with the expanding of the Universe and our understanding of that Universe. This expansionism, one could call it evolution, is one and the same as “biocentrism.” Lanza argues that it is, in fact, Consciousness as housed in biology that creates the Universe. It seems we can’t have a Universe without Consciousness, nor can we have Consciousness, particularly housed in biology, without the Universe!

This phrase then seems a truism if we equate the Universe with Consciousness.

Second, “scientists … can now believe…” Yes, science is another belief system just as so many religions and other organizational approaches to consciousness are. The sad fact is there are scientists who seem more dogmatic about their system than some religious leaders; and there are many in western society that kowtow to science when they would never be caught kowtowing to any religion or religious figure!

Third, “what metaphysicians have known…” So, scientists “believe” while metaphysicians “know.” This is a telling phrase and comparison. The implication is science is still evolving, learning, gaining revelation as the Universe unfolds (as consciousness expands). They are gaining insights in areas where metaphysicians have already made their explorations and discoveries.

Fourth, “through their (metaphysicians’) revelatory methods.” The methods, of course, are inner seeking, contemplative and meditative approaches to searching for truth. The Pleiedians say it best:

“In the realm of metaphysics, one rises above the known, the expected, and opens oneself to the field of limitless possibilities. No judgments. No pre-conceived notions. No rules and no ‘shoulds.’ The metaphysician is open to the exploration in a way that is energized by curiosity and receptivity. There is also a trust that is engendered by an understanding that the metaphysician has of the connectedness of all things, the unity that is The Universe. The guiding principle of the metaphysician is, ‘As Above, So Below.’ Thus, all exploration of The Universe at large is an exploration of the Self, the Universe Within, and vice versa.”

The methods here are open and inner exploration. There are no hypotheses set forth, no preconceived notions of the way things “should” be. And therefore Consciousness is allowed to expand, to evolve; the Universe reveals herself in her ever expanding glory.

And the metaphysician “knows.”

ROSEMARY’S EXPLORATION: The Science of Metaphysics

July 9, 2014 Leave a comment

Today’s message is from The Pleiedians for you:

“We wish to speak today about the Science of Metaphysics.

Many have said that ‘Science is now proving what metaphysics has known for a long time.’ The truth can actually be languaged in a better way:

“The Universe is revealing itself to scientists in such a way that they can now believe what metaphysicians have known through their revelatory methods.”

This shifts the information to ‘revelation’ from ‘discovery,’ moving the action to The Universe as the Revealer from the scientist as the Discoverer.

This may seem to be a subtle shift but it is an important one, for scientists can only discover what The Universe is ready to reveal to them. Each apparent quantum leap forward in understanding by humans is the result, not of discoveries, but of the Recognition of Revelations, humans recognizing what The Universe is revealing.

Humans have been recognizing the revelations of The Universe for many millennia. It is science that has limited its ability to recognize these revelations by putting limits on what can be discovered, by narrowing its focus to a list of what things should look like according to established norms. The whole process of scientific inquiry is based on creating a set of assumptions based on a hypothesis (a human construction of a possibility) and then trying to prove or disprove that hypothesis. Unexpected results are often discarded or identified as ‘anomalous.’ The role of other scientists is to argue against what the findings are.

There might be times in the physical world where this system works, but let us contrast this with the way that metaphysicians operate in their explorations.

In the realm of metaphysics, one rises above the known, the expected, and opens oneself to the field of limitless possibilities. The guiding principle of the metaphysician is, ‘As Above, So Below.’ Thus, all exploration of The Universe at large is an exploration of the Self, the Universe Within, and vice versa.

Those civilizations that moved away from the concept of the unity of The Universe collapsed onto themselves in their pursuit of separation.

Science and the pursuits of the mind are not separate from metaphysics and what is known in the heart. Judgment is not the same as discernment. Openness and acceptance are not signs of weakness but, rather, are signs of great strength and a wise understanding of the true nature of The Universe.

Those who embrace the path of the metaphysician will have more science revealed to them than those who limit themselves to the narrow path of the scientist.

The explorer is never certain of the revelation that is waiting beyond the next bend in the path, but is ever open to the wonder that lies there.

It Is So.”

And, so, are you willing to be open to the path of the metaphysician and EXPLORE?

Problems? Be a Solver! – Richard’s Commentary

July 3, 2014 Leave a comment

Rosemary posted her “Exploration” on this subject the night of the New Moon in Cancer. As I do on the New Moons I cast an I Ching Gua – a six-line hexagram consisting of open, yin, and closed, yang lines. I posted my results and my interpretation of this I Ching divination on Monday this week (Link). The initial Gua I obtained was “Hardship” – it appeared that I may be in for some “problems” during the month (I use the I Ching to give me a sense of the incoming energies for the month ahead from New Moon to New Moon).

Here is what Divine Mother Mary channeled through Rosemary had to say about problems and how they might be solved:

When people seek solutions to problems, answers to questions, they do not realize that they are seeking help in making a change in their life. They want something outside themselves to change without changing anything in their interior life, and they want that one thing in their life to change without their having to change anything else in their life.

I am fascinated by this Mary quote because here is what Taoist Master Alfred Huang, quoting early 3rd Century BC philosopher, Mencius, offered to help us understand “Hardship” –

If one loves others and they do not respond in the same way,
one should turn inward and examine one’s own love.
If one treats others politely, and they do not return politeness,
one should turn inward and examine one’s own politeness.
When one does not realize what one desires,
one must turn inward and examine oneself in every point.

The message is clear from both Mother Mary and the I Ching: if you want to solve a problem look inside yourself for the solution. How do you need to change your perspective? What do you need to change to be a solver?

One must seek a solution to a problem by asking this question FIRST: “WHO do I need to BE in order that this problem be solved?” –Mary

Turn inward and examine oneself in every point. –Mencius

And the good news for this month is the “Hardship” doesn’t last! There is volatility in the I Ching and it changes to “Union.” I like that energy much better. It also suits the Cancer energy much better!

Enjoy your month of “Union.” Enjoy your problem solving by questing inside for the changes, the appropriate responses, the new perspectives that lead through the lessons to the positive outcomes you desire and deserve!

ROSEMARY’S EXPLORATION: Problems? Be a Solver!

A message from Divine Mother Mary:

“The lessons of Life are not sought; they appear in every experience. One only has to be open to them, be ever in a receptive state, to receive the lessons being presented in any given moment and in any given situation.

When a human being stops learning, they cease to grow and they stagnate in their own foggy energy. It becomes more and more difficult for the Light to penetrate the fog.

When a person believes that they cannot change, their own energy field becomes stagnant and dis-ease follows to prove that they CAN change – their state of health.

People do not realize that their very thoughts can create the dis-ease in their body. Energy can stagnate, get stuck, in places in the body where pain can build and disharmony of tissues can arise. They CAN change.

When people seek solutions to problems, answers to questions, they do not realize that they are seeking help in making a change in their life. They want something outside themselves to change without changing anything in their interior life, and they want that one thing in their life to change without their having to change anything else in their life.

Problems are not solved in this way.

One must seek a solution to a problem by asking this question FIRST:
“WHO do I need to BE in order that this problem be solved?”

This is key to being a problem solver.
“WHO do I need to BE in order that _________________ happen?”

When a person works with this question FIRST, the road to the solution becomes evident.

One can always change oneself. All change arises from within the Self. The oft-quoted guidance to ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world’ attests to this.

But people often see external causes, situations and other people as needing to change while not understanding the energetics of change.

The reason one must ‘Be The Change’ is to raise the vibrational frequency of a situation. If you are the vibrational frequency of the state desired, you emanate, you broadcast that frequency into the world around you. The more you spread that vibration around, the stronger YOUR EMANATION of that frequency, the more power you exert as an influence to change the vibrations around you.

This is true no matter how small or how large the situation is. This is why such a small percentage of a population can influence the energy of a city or region.

This is also true whether the energy being emanated is having the effect of raising the vibrational frequency or lowering it. Each person has a responsibility to all those around them to focus on emanating an uplifting vibratory frequency. Would you really want to take responsibility for all the effects on those around you when you broadcast a lowering vibration? If it only takes a small percentage of the population to have an influence, do you really want to join with those who are lowering the frequency level, even depressing it, of all the surroundings?

There is also karma attached to the broadcasting of energy. Be very conscious about the energy that you emanate because the world is a mirror reflecting that energy back to you, magnified! Choose the energy you wish to receive by choosing the energy wisely that you send out.

YOU have control over your own energy vibrational level. YOU can change this. By choosing consciously the energy that you put out into the world, you choose the changes you see in yourself, in your own life, and in the world around you.

Be the change you seek.”

ROSEMARY’S INSPIRATION: Looking for Solutions?

New Moon in Cancer I Ching Divination

June 30, 2014 Leave a comment

For each new moon I cast an I Ching Gua – a six-line hexagram composed of open and closed lines. I do this using the yarrow stalk method. I do this to capture the nature of the moon’s energy and what she will bring to us in the way of benefits, changes, guidance and vibrational tone during the month ahead (moonth).

The moon was new (exactly conjunct the sun) in the sign of Cancer last Friday at 4:10 AM Eastern time. She is now waxing and as this is the third day after the conjunction look for her smiling crescent on the western horizon this evening, just after sunset.Jian-Hardship

The initial Gua I cast for this month is Jian, which means “Hardship” according to my main reference, The Complete I Ching by Taoist Master Alfred Huang. I have included a picture here.

The first thing to notice is the three changing lines in this initial Gua. There are two 6s (Yin) and one 9 (Yang). In this situation Master Huang suggests reading only the middle line, in this case the 9 which then changes to a 6, an open Yin line. With all these changing lines I think we can expect July to be a month of some change. But I don’t think this is necessarily a concern.

The second thing to notice is the initial Gua, “Hardship” follows Kui or “Diversity” in the order of the hexagrams in the I Ching. Diversity was the accomplished Gua from the previous New Moon Divination (link). Master Huang observes that Hardship can arise out of Diversity.

And here is the response that may be appropriate to this Hardship message. This comes from early 3rd Century BC philosopher, Mencius:

If one loves others and they do not respond in the same way,
one should turn inward and examine one’s own love.
If one treats others politely, and they do not return politeness,
one should turn inward and examine one’s own politeness.
When one does not realize what one desires,
one must turn inward and examine oneself in every point.

This hardship coming from diversity requires inner work. Notice that the lower trigram of the Gua is Gen, meaning mountain. This is a time to be still, like a Bi-Unionmountain. The changing line at the third position also indicates a time to be still. Go inside to examine the diversity that led to this hardship. There is good news here: in this case the third line is the changing line that moves to a Yin line. Keeping still leads to “rejoicing and union.” When the third line changes it forms a new “accomplished” Gua Bi meaning “Union.”
The new Gua is pictured here.

This accomplished Gua overcomes the hardship indicated by the initial Gua. Union is about love and harmony within a group of people, especially within one’s intimate relationships. To understand and strengthen these relationships this divination suggests that we go within ourselves to find the love and harmony. Then extend and reflect the inner love to the outer, close relationships. Choose wisely here. There are those who don’t necessarily want to be in relationship. Loving relationships can’t be forced. Release those who wish to go their way.

PS: My friend and astrologer, Gloria Hesseloff, writes this about the New Moon in Cancer: “Cancer brings up in all of us a yearning for a safe haven. The Cancerian feminine force calls us back to home and family. Give birth to new forms. Cultivate life. Cooperate. Be creative. Build community.” And she adds: “Life seems more mysterious than ever and Cancer energy invites us to probe deeply into our inner experiences, pressing toward the heart.  A Cancer period is a time to penetrate the dimensions of our inner life.” This certainly sounds like a time for Union and for inner seeking. Astrology supports the I Ching in a most satisfying way!

Have a wonderful moonth!

Dream-Makers or Dream-Takers? – Richard’s Commentary

June 26, 2014 Leave a comment

This past Saturday Rosemary offered a Possibilities Playshop to celebrate the Summer Solstice. And once again we all had a wonderful time exploring Possibilities. In a way this Playshop is like exploring our dreams, or exploring what our unconscious mind would like us to be doing! It is a “dream-maker” for us.

And during the Playshop we do use our unconscious minds, our intuitive minds to create a Playbook that we can use to guide us along our dream-paths. Rosemary’s process is very effective in getting our egos and our conscious thinking minds out of the way for a short while in order to get in touch with our dreams. She invites participants, after several exercises to quiet the ego, to make “bodacious wishes” for ourselves. Wishes are then planted on our timelines, set as goals or destinations out ahead so we can move along toward wish fulfillment, that place where we can live our dreams!

In short Rosemary, through her guidance during the Playshop, facilitates our dream-makers and we then capture those dreams and build roadmaps toward fulfilling them.

It is a lot of fun to participate in this Playshop in a group. We all support each other in the process, commenting on how the Playbooks come together, the meanings or interpretations of various components as they are added to the books. We come together as a support group and can then help one another through the months as our dreams unfold. Our intention is to come together again around the Winter Solstice to extend our Playbooks, add to our dream timelines and continue the support. It is good to have others supporting our dreams. As Rosemary wrote in her post:

There will be people who want to be your champions, your cheerleaders and who want to help you make your dreams come true. There are others who, for whatever reason, don’t want that. Choose consciously those you allow to surround you. Dream-Makers or Dream-Takers?

All the participants in our Playshop group are my champions. That feels good!

I don’t share my dreams with just anyone. Often they are “bodacious.” And I don’t need anyone to tell me how improbable they might be! No dream-takers for me! The fact is I am enough of a dream-taker for myself.

I think this might be true for a lot of us. We can often be very effective in sabotaging ourselves and derailing on the path toward dream fulfillment. After the Playshop it is back to “reality.” Our egos kick back in. We start questioning. We begin procrastinating. We get wrapped up in the routine of living. We start making excuses, choosing an interruption or a side-track to re-route us around the dream. Yes, I am my own biggest dream-taker.

The solution? Rosemary’s sums it up nicely:

Own your vision. It comes from connecting to your Purpose, to your Soul Mission on Earth. Continue to Dream Big and the support you desire will show up. Stay committed no matter what or who around you tries to take that dream away.

Choose and commit! Then surround yourself with support for your dreams, your dream-makers!

Stay courageous. Move in the direction of your dreams, no matter what. If you look around you now and can’t find friends to support you, seek out new friends. Find those who uplift others and hang out with them. Speak to loved ones and share that you want their support as you go ahead to pursue your dreams.

Blocked? – Part 2

June 13, 2014 Leave a comment

I know; it’s “poem Firday”. But this business of “blocks” is on my mind.

Yesterday I wrote here about being blocked: blocked from listening to my intuition, from changing my language to speak (and think) in positive terms. And I wrote about practice. After 10 years Tenno became a teacher of Zen; he was practiced. Then Nan-in demonstrated how he was not “fully aware.” So Tenno became his student and practiced another 10 years! And I concluded my post yesterday with …another nine years of practice and study and “lessons in lost sunglasses”!

But practice what? OK, I’ve got 9 more years, probably 10! But what am I to practice; what am I to learn; how do I break through the blocks?

Later yesterday I was in one of my practices: Artist Pages writing as prescribed by Julia Cameron. I am fairly disciplined in writing my “morning pages” (sometimes afternoon); and I really know when I skip that something isn’t quite right with my day. I wrote yesterday and came up with some answers to my blocks; not only what is blocking but how to respond; to break through. Here’s what I wrote:

“I wrote my blog post for Rosemary’s site this morning – on “Awareness” again although the title was about blocks. What are my blocks to “full awareness”?

“I think the main one is fear – fear of letting go completely and relaxing into full awareness. If I let go completely I might lose myself! I am not yet fully willing to let go of the ego – that little self that appears to be so important to me. I have no problem with this for moments – while sitting, while doing Qigong, while writing pages when I merge and let come whatever words flow. Practices like these are easy times to let go. But when I’m at a bank ATM my ego is busy in the forefront – considering a number of choices: what’s my balance, how much cash do I need, what do I want to buy at the market, how long will this nice weather last, on and on…

“The conscious mind, the ego, can only handle 7 to 9 bits of information at one time. The thought of the sunglasses on the shelf gets pushed aside. The ego can’t handle all the information. And I am not practicing standing at the ATM. Why not?

“What if I had stood at the ATM in a relaxed but present Qigong posture? What if I had softened my focus moving into peripheral vision? What if I had remembered to breathe deeply and slowly as when practicing Qigong or sitting on my cushion? Would I have seen the sunglasses and remembered?

“Practice can be constant. And there needs to be no fear in this. If we drop our attention and expand our awareness the ego doesn’t disappear, it simply recedes into the background of the 10-million bits of information being processed by the unconscious mind. It is there, aware, processing its 7 to 9 bits, and content to rest, yet ready to come alive as needed. The “full awareness” is in the unconscious mind lifted out of its obscurity through constant practice.

“Blocks are revealed, recognized and broken through by balancing conscious ego awareness with practiced unconscious access.

“Relax, let go, breathe deeply, sink, broaden, move fully into self and become fully aware of Self.”

I think I have my answers! Now to put them into practice…

Happy Full Moon. Have a good weekend!
